Operating systems

Mac OS X
v10.4 (Tiger), v10.5 (Leopard), v10.6 (Snow Leopard). Intel Mac only.
OS X is fully supported. Note that feature set is slightly different from the Windows version. Please note that there is no support planned for PPC (Power PC) Macs
Windows
XP, Vista and Windows 7. 32/64 bit.
MS Windows is fully supported. Note that the feature set is slightly different from the Mac OS X version.
Linux There is no support planned for Linux. You can however use one of the VM systems available for Linux, to run Windows in a Virtual environment.

Microstock agencies

Agency Supported Comments
iStockphoto This is currently the only stock agency supported. iStockphoto has a unique upload and keywording process, quite different from other agencies. DeepMeta has full native support for many of its features.
Others As opposed to iStockphoto, these agencies use FTP upload, extracting keywords from embedded IPTC data. DeepMeta support is planned for the future.

Media types

Media type Uploading Editing Comments
Photos Uploading and keyword editing of Photos is fully supported by DeepMeta. Keywords, categories, etc. can be edited before or after upload. This means that your entire existing portfolio can be batch-edited in DeepMeta.
Illustrations, Flash, Video, Audio, Logo's Uploading of these media types is currently not possible, but once uploaded through the iStockphoto site, their keywords and other data can be fully batch-edited in DeepMeta.

iStockphoto collections

Type Supported Comments
Vetta Files can be nominated for the Vetta collection before upload in DeepMeta. The current Vetta status for existing files is also available in the DeepMeta lists.
Partner program The iStockphoto Partner program is currently not supported. As soon as the iStockphoto API supports this, it will be implemented in DeepMeta.
Exclusive+ collection Addin/removing files to/from the iStockphoto Exclusive+ collection is currently not supported. As soon as the iStockphoto API supports this, it will be implemented in DeepMeta. What is already possible is to view which of your files are in the Exclusive+ collection: just add the "Exclusive+" or "Collections" columns to your lists in DeepMeta.
