KNOWNBUGS & LIMITATIONS
all reported bugs, yet to be fixed. Last update: February 10th 2009
  • B3. Image Details cancel button
    • Windows version: When clicking the Cancel button on the Image details dialog, DeepMeta will ask if you are sure, even when you've changed nothing.
  • B10. Editing a file while it's uploading
    • theasis: I added a new image to DM, added it to the queue and started the upload to iStock. Whilst it was still uploading, I thought of another keyword that should go with the image. In the past I've always waited till the upload was complete, but this time I thought I'd just see what happens. When the upload is complete the image has the extra keyword in DM, but the 'Changed' flag was cleared when the upload finished, the extra keyword wasn't sent to iStock. So pressing F6 doesn't cause the new keyword to be sent, and a right-click Fetch would lose the keyword from DM. This is, of course, really easy to work around. Either right-click Send when the upload is done; or better, don't be so daft as to edit an image that is uploading. But it would be nice if DM kept the Changed flag if I edit whilst uploading, or if it prevented me from editing, or if it warned me that the image I'm editing is uploading and things might get out of sync.
    • Franky: You are correct of course: what happens is that at the start of the upload, all image data is compiled in a request which is sent to iStock. Any changes after the upload has started will no longer affect the upload itself. But indeed, the file should be (remain) marked as "changed". I'll correct this.
  • B11. Bad link to original file on disk
    • theasis: A minor bug in the link to the original image file in the Images tab. The link is of the form <a href="F%3a%5cblahblahblah... If I click on the link, nothing happens. If I right click and chose "Open in a new window" it tries to open "about:blankF%31%5cblahblahblah". I guess it's taking the path to be a relative URL and that would be fixed by making the link point to e.g. "file:///F:/blahblahblah" instead.
