fetch and update data with iStockphoto

Switch to Mac OSX version
  • In order to work as independently as possible, DeepMeta uses a small local database on your Computer to keep track of your iStockphoto portfolio. Loading the initial data and updating with the latest changes is done through the main menu option iStockphoto | Fetch ALL data from iStockphoto, or by simply pressing CTRL F5. The initial fetch of all data will take some time, but consequent fetches will only retrieve the changed items and are much quicker. If you tick the checkbox "Also refresh available upload slots", DeepMeta will also retrieve your available upload slots from the iStockphoto site. You can see these on the "iStockphoto" tab page in the top right corner.
  • After the fetch, you can close the popup window: click the Close button or press ESC. Upon close, you will find the File list populated.
  • Any changes that you will make to the local DeepMeta file data, is stored locally and will have to be updated to the iStockphoto site. This is done through the iStockphoto | Send updates to iStockphoto option in the main menu, or by simply pressing F6. This process is usually fairly quick, since only the changes are communicated. A pop-up window shows the progress:
