INSTALLINGTHE SOFTWARE
downloading & installing the DeepMeta software

Switch to Mac OSX version
System requirements for the Windows version of DeepMeta:
  • Windows 7 (32/64 bit)
  • Windows Vista (32/64 bit)
  • Windows XP (32/64 bit)
  • The installation instructions below are for the Windows version of the software. Go to the Mac OS X section for instructions on installing the Mac OS X version.
  • Note: If you have already installed an earlier version of DeepMeta, there is no need to first un-install it, the new DeepMeta version will automatically do this for you, as long as it's version number is higher than the already installed version.
  • Download the latest software version for Windows from this site, and save the file at some temporary location on your system. After installation, you can remove this file.
  • DeepMeta requires the Microsoft .Net v2.0 framework or higher. Don't worry about this: the installer will take care of this, if needed.
  • Double-click the downloaded "msi" file to start the installer. The first screen looks like this:
  • The next screen shows the DeepMeta license agreement. You will have to select the "I Agree" box, before proceeding with the Next button. Note that you can also read the full license agreement at your convenience, here at this site.
  • On the next screen, select the installation folder. It's usually a good idea to leave the suggested path as it is.
  • At this stage, all necessary information has been collected to start the installation. Click Next to start the installation.
  • The progress bar on the next screen will report the ongoing installation status.
  • After a minute or so, the installation is complete. Click the Close button. If you like, you can now delete the "msi" installation file that you downloaded, or keep it for future reference.
  • Now that the installation is complete, you can start DeepMeta anytime from the Windows Start menu or Recently opened list, if available.
  • Click the "Next" button at the bottom of this page to proceed with the Getting Started manual
