-
In the main menu, select Edit | Find and replace.
A new panel pops up, allowing you to specify text to be replaced in file titles and/or descriptions.
-
Specify where to find/replace by ticking the appropriate boxes: Title and/or Description.
It's currently not possible to replace keywords.
-
Enter What to find and What to replace with, and click the Show preview button.
This will find all files where title/description match your request, and lists them in the left hand list.
Click any of the listed files, and the title/description will be shown in the 2 right hand boxes: before and after the change.
This allows you to evaluate the potential results of your request.
-
Be sure to verify a few files and their result before clicking the Replace all button!
If there are many files to replace text in, the replace action may take some time. A progress bar will keep you informed.
When finished, a dialog window will report the number of files changed.
-
Next, in the main image list, double-check a few files before sending the updates to iStockphoto.
If you change your mind or you messed things up, you can always re-fetch all image details from iStockphoto, effectively undoing the replace action.
