INSTALLINGTHE SOFTWARE
downloading & installing the DeepMeta software

The installation instructions below are for the Windows version of the software. Versions for other operating systems are planned for a later date. (Check the Downloads section).

  • Note: If you have already installed an earlier version of DeepMeta, there is no need to first un-install it, the new DeepMeta version will automatically do this for you, as long as it's version number is higher than the already installed version.
  • Download the latest software version from this site, and save the file at some temporary location on your system. After installation, you can remove this file.
  • DeepMeta requires the Microsoft .Net v2.0 framework or higher. Don't worry about this: the installer will take care of this, if needed.
  • Double-click the downloaded "exe" file to start the installer. The first screen looks like this:Installation Welcome screen
  • The next screen shows the DeepMeta license agreement. You will have to select the "I Agree" box, before proceeding with the Next button. Note that you can also read the full license agreement at your convenience, here at this site.Software License agreement
  • On the next screen, select the installation folder. It's usually a good idea to leave the suggested path as it is.Select Installation Folder
  • At this stage, all necessary information has been collected to start the installation. Click Next to start the installation.Confirm Installation
  • The progress bar on the next screen will report the ongoing installation status.Installation Progress
  • After a minute or so, the installation is complete. Click the Close button. If you like, you can now delete the "exe" installation file that you downloaded, or keep it for future reference.Installation Complete
